Through sites like Credit Karma, the option to check your credit score for free has existed, however, it was for your VantageScore rather than your FICO score. Recently, though, Discover announced the launch of CreditScoreCard.com where you can obtain your FICO credit score for free.
Your FICO credit score is the most popular score to refer to in any official capacities, so having a way to easily get that score for free is incredibly helpful. And Discover is making this possible as not only a way to help people get their scores, but also in hopes that they’ll be able to showcase their card selection as well.
It’s a win-win for both sides!
